Katerina Prossr, PhD- Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Prossr is a licensed clinical psychologist who received a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Social Work from California State University of Sacramento and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from California Graduate Institute in Irvine.
Dr. Prossr was born and raised in a communist Czechoslovakia for 13 years. After escaping her country with her family, she spent a year in a refugee camp in Yugoslavia, where she met many families from various countries. This experience gave her a great understanding of coming to a country not speaking English, the acculturation process necessary to survive in a dominant culture she knew nothing about, and the struggles and hardship that came along with starting a new life and leaving the rest of her family behind. Her life experience taught her to have a great appreciation for diversity and she has developed a strong passion for other cultures and their beliefs.
Her experience includes working for 14 years with adults with severe psychiatric illnesses, such as schizophrenia/schizoaffective d/o, bipolar d/o, major depression, OCD, anxiety, and various personality d/o. She also has experience with the geriatric outpatient PHP and in the adolescent inpatient unit. This included dual diagnosis, symptom/mood/stress management, relationship building, community integration, conflict resolution, medication compliance, relapse prevention, bereavement, sexual/physical abuse issues, and crisis intervention. Past experiences include working in a level 14 group home with children and providing services in a skilled nursing home focusing mainly on psychological testing and mental status testing for use of dementia drugs. Her work experience also includes individual/family therapy in an outpatient clinic with children and adolescents (ages 3-17). Certificates obtained include drug and alcohol certification, and children/adults anger management therapy certification. Dr. Prossr uses the cognitive behavioral therapy approach because she truly believes that changing one’s thinking changes one’s behavior.

Lisa has trained and mentored Jill for more than 12 years to facilitate breakthrough through relationship prayer.
Jill has also developed a curriculum called Armor of Light, which is a 10-week series designed to meet women right where they are in their walk with Jesus. The Armor of Light is an educational and group process-based series designed to mentor the women of God to be warriors in their walk with God. The series will meet for ten weeks with a small process group (5-7 women). Each week there will be worship and short teaching, followed by a group process around the topic of that week. After each group, members will have a hard copy of the material for further exploration. Contact Jill directly by calling 760-994-9339 for breakthrough coaching and/or registration in the Armor of Light series.
